A Windy Day (possibly horribly offensive to all)
They rode out to the countryside for a nice picnic. Things were going so well, but then...

The Coolest Thing I've Seen Lately
It's called an eccentric flint. Somebody made it from a rock, by chipping pieces off with another rock.
The mind boggles.

V Day
an unnatural union, doesn't it, the different species of male and female. I've met very few who related to each other in a way that I'd envied, or ever wished to emulate.
On this day of Romance, this most saccharine of holidays,at least the candy goes on sale... |
i'll shuffle my thoughts around for you all...
maybe, Maybe there's something new.
That's the point of Love, isn't it? It makes you feel new? That's why we leap garden walls in pursuit of the One, the only...the joys and miseries that only separate selves can provide. The joy of being sought out.
sing it, SophieWe all want to be the Heroes of our own Stories. Grand and Wonderful Love Stories, we clutch at them like jewels. I have carried old dead loves like stones in my pocket. Belt it out, Bonnie
I'm well content with myself;
I've set the bar just slightly above "Die cold and Alone". Good Company is enjoyed and appreciated; Expectations are to be taken out and and Shot.
Marriage shall be embarked upon as a Grand Adventure, an exchange of Kindnesses, for as long as Love shall last.
Love is Sacred, and for All.
I will shine with my own radiance;
Hold lightly to what brings me Joy
Find kinship with All
Show my Love for them with the works of my hands
Me and Lily, she says |
And pay wise heed to the way things are. Some Hearts are broken into shape; others worn slowly smooth by the passing of Time.
All are changed.
All are changed.

Made a Hat
...out of "Creepy-eyes Ted".
He'd been around since I was a wee small child in New Zealand, when my favorite colors were orange and yellow. He always had a bit of a staring problem, and according to Lily it was only getting worse (she had taken to covering him up with other toys)
I was hoping to make use of his filling, but along with the urethane (couch) foam, there's chunks of styrofoam. Stiff rather than soft.
So now he's my hat. Don't stare.
Ted's dead |
right into your soul |
that's gross ted |
So now he's my hat. Don't stare.

Into Battle!
sometimes it's best not to look |
a stand-in for the Queen of Swords.
Because being absurd is sometimes easier than being brave, and more likely to confuse one's adversaries.
I actually painted this several years ago, in prognostical anticipation of my recent promotion: Oracle of the League of Outa-Space
I shall now direct my energies towards constructing the appropriate Funny Hat to announce my New Place in the World.

The Vanities (nekkidness warning)
A theme from last year's experiences: false friends.
The Crows are kinder; if they pick one's eyes out, we may be shocked, we may be disgusted, but we are not surprised. They are exactly as they should be, they behave as expected, without apology.
A cautionary tale - take notice of the people and situations around you. Trust your instincts. Don't die on the wrong road, lost, but within sight of your own Castle.

If I were doing art for a Tarot deck, this would be the Hanged Man.
anyone who thinks it'd be a good Tarot deck is invited to share how that can be accomplished...

The Star
It just goes to show the usefulness of string. This Lady's probably got a giant string ball a mile wide! Good for her, she'll be able to find her way back to all that housework, when she's done making Magic.
